Ballarat has been announced as the first regional stop on ALWAYS LIVE’s Victorian Vibes series, with free live music pop-ups set to take over the city on Saturday 18 April from 11am-6pm.
Following the success of Melbourne Vibes, which brought surprise performances from major artists including Jimmy Barnes, Guy Sebastian and The Teskey Brothers into the heart of Melbourne over summer, it’s now Ballarat’s turn to host the buzz.
This new regional live music series will bring contemporary artists into streets, venues and unexpected locations across Ballarat, creating a great opportunity for local businesses to benefit from visiting music fans. Artists, locations and set times will be announced closer to the date.
As more event details are released, you may wish to consider:
- Reviewing opening hours and staffing
- Planning a themed offer or special
- Targeting ALWAYS LIVE audiences and encouraging visitation before or after the pop-ups
A simple way to get involved
One of the easiest ways to reach potential visitors is by creating a special offer or deal on your Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing.
In the lead up to ALWAYS LIVE, we’ll be promoting deals and special offers on a dedicated landing page on our Visit Ballarat website.
Examples include:
- event-day menu or drink specials
- accommodation packages
- bonus inclusions
- collaborations with nearby businesses.

- Deals don’t need to be a discount; they can simply offer added value or be something that’s not ordinarily available
- Deals/special offers are promoted via dedicated landing pages across multiple websites, including Visit Ballarat, Ballarat In The Know
,and Visit Victoria.
What to do next
- Register for ALWAYS LIVE updates to stay across artist and location announcements.
- Share the event with your audience, including any guest or customers already booked in on the event date.
- Log in to your ATDW account and create or update a new deal/special offer.
