Following the success of the 2023 and 2024 awards, Ballarat’s Best Pie is back for 2025 (but in a Brilliantly Unexpected way!)
While we’re continuing our tradition of celebrating local produce and showcasing the incredible chefs and producers from our region, we’re changing things up this year by adding three new categories to the mix.
Right now, we’re on the lookout for 30 of Ballarat’s best pies to feature in this year’s campaign. Submissions close on Tuesday 1 April, unless all 30 spots are filled before that (so make sure to get your pie idea in quickly).
Award categories
- Best Pie (first, second and third place)
- Best Sweet Pie
- Best Savoury Pie
- Best Bakery Pie
- Brilliantly Unexpected Pie (new)
- Pie with Purpose (new)
- People’s Choice Pie (new)
Here’s everything you need to know:
- Express your interest by filling out the form below by Tuesday 1 April
- If your entry is successful, you will be notified on Thursday 3 April with more information about this year’s awards, including details for your upcoming photo shoot
- The pie judging and award ceremony will take place on Saturday 2 August (all pie participants are invited to attend the award ceremony)
- The People’s Choice Pie Award will run from 2–31 August, and the winner will be announced in September
